Refund & Cancellation Policy

Effective Date: September 5, 2026

1. How this works

LM3 builds custom solutions and provides ongoing services, so refunds and cancellations depend on what was purchased and what has already been delivered. This page explains our general approach. If your signed or accepted agreement contains different specific terms, that agreement controls.

2. Custom project, setup, and development fees

Setup, development, and implementation work is performed specifically for your business. Fees for work already performed may be non-refundable. If a project is cancelled partway, we look at what has been completed and delivered up to that point.

3. Deposits and initial payments

How a deposit or initial payment is treated depends on your proposal or agreement and on whether work has begun. We do not automatically treat deposits as refundable or as non-refundable when the agreement is silent — we review the situation with you.

4. Recurring services

For recurring services such as hosting, maintenance, support, and management, the recurring amount and frequency are shown to you before you authorize payment. Your authorization is tied to the proposal or agreement you accepted, and there are no surprise recurring charges.

Cancellation of a recurring service follows any notice period or minimum term stated in your agreement. Cancellation typically takes effect at the end of the service period you have already paid for, unless your agreement says otherwise.

5. How to request cancellation

Email support@builtbylm3.com or submit a request through MY LM3 where that option is available in your portal. We will confirm your request, the effective date, and anything still outstanding.

6. How refund requests are reviewed

We consider:

  • the terms of your proposal or agreement;
  • the work completed and delivered;
  • third-party or nonrecoverable costs already paid on your behalf (for example domains, licenses, or provider fees);
  • duplicate, incorrect, or unauthorized charges;
  • the circumstances of the service issue;
  • applicable law.

7. Duplicate or incorrect charges

Please report a duplicate or incorrect charge promptly. We will investigate and correct genuine billing errors.

8. How approved refunds are issued

Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method where practical. Timing depends on your payment provider and bank, and may take several business days to appear.

9. Amounts already due

Cancelling does not remove amounts already due for completed work or services already provided. Outstanding balances remain payable.

10. Third-party charges

If you pay a third-party provider directly — such as a domain registrar, hosting company, or app marketplace — that charge is governed by their terms and refund policy, not ours.

11. Failed payments

If a payment fails, we generally allow a grace period of approximately 10 days, send notices, and review any suspension manually before acting. See our Terms of Service for details.
